ESHRE (the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) was established in 1985 by Robert Edwards and Jean Cohen. They had a vision of creating a unified platform for professionals working in reproductive science. The same year, the very first ESHRE meeting was held in Bonn, marking the beginning of what would become one of the most influential annual gatherings in reproductive medicine. Since then, the society has hosted these conferences every year, drawing experts from around the world to exchange knowledge, share breakthroughs, and collaborate on improving reproductive healthcare. Over the decades, ESHRE has grown into a leading organization in the field, shaping global standards and guidelines in reproductive medicine.
